I've kind of put my scrapping and blogging lives to one side for a bit. Things have been kind of rough in the real world. My house was foreclosed. Now, I know that happens all the time, but wow, when it happens to YOU! To make matters worse, my husband of 23 years left me in May. The law here says we have to be separated for a year, but I have no doubt that next May, divorce will be proceeding.
My oldest daughter (Kayleigh, 21) has been out on her own since getting pregnant at 19. My grandson, Liam, is 19 months and a little spitfire! I have my youngest , Tegan (19) still at home, and my Sheltie J'Lyn. It is SO hard to find a place to live that will accept a dog, even a quiet, well behaved one. The house has been sold via judicial sale, but all parties involved have been very helpful, so we have until August 1st to move. I have applied for low income housing, but the list is very long, and i have no idea where i am on it yet. So, in the meantime, I have to look for another place. Rents here for a two bedroom range from $850 to $1500 and up. I work part time, as does Tegan, so rent alone is probably 80% of our combined salaries. I asked at the housing office and I can also apply for rental assistance, so I'm not quite panicking. Yet, lol!
Housing HAS been much more helpful than Social Services though. I talked to them first and was told 1. I make too much money and 2. I should pay my rent first, then my bills and then if I'm lucky, I can eat. Wonderful, caring government workers, huh?! I have friends and a good support system at work, so that's good. I still talk to my husband, and would like to keep the communication open for my girls and grandson. Dealing with the depression and the grief have been hard, but I have to keep telling myself, this too shall pass
Thanks for reading this far, and letting me get this all off my chest. It always feel better after you do that! I'm sure I will be back to the stores, the owner are wonderful supportive women, and know the whole story. They are giving me as much time as i need, and for that, I will always be grateful. Thank you to Jay, Deb, Brooke and Danielle!!!!
Now, for bearing with me, here a little freebie kit for you. Enjoy!

Oh Mary! I'm so sorry to hear of your plight! Life isn't easy, but take heart from the ones you love. I'll be thinking of you and sending out positive vibes. Thank you so much for the freebie!
I can't believe you could bother about putting freebies out, with all that's been going on in your life.
Your attitude is great, even towards your ex-husband. I think it will pay off in the end. Although being bitchy feels very satisfying in the short term--especially making life miserable for an ex-to be--in the end, you'll be glad you took the high road. Good luck. dust clears from splits, y
